She has had runaways come to her home and had to find proper help for them. Judy has worked with a number of agencies including: SRS Truancy Program, Protective Services, Chid Care Assistance, and Foster Care; Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Douglas County District Attorney's Office, The Shelter, College Meadows, Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Kaw Valley, Crittenton, Heartland Shares, Bert Nash Mental Health Center (Case Manager, Attendant Care, Therapeutic Classroom, Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy); Respite Care, and St Francis Outdoor Program. Carlene K. Hadl
Carlene is a medical tech and food service worker on staff at K. U. She has traveled and lived in Europe and Asia. She believes in miracles and that prayer changes things. Carlene has two sons with Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder, drug and alcohol problems, depression, and self-destructive tendencies. She says she knows how it feels to feel isolated and rejected from other family members, to sleep in a car because she was afraid to go home, and to have her house destroyed by out of control children. She is ready to help other families who may be experiencing similar things. She has worked with Bert Nash Mental Health Center, detention centers, correctional centers, Family Preservation, and belongs to Al-Anon. Carlene is available to help families in Lawrence and surrounding areas.
