The Techno Bus is a mobile instructing station, equipped with 8 PC’s, to offer basic computer skills, basic computer functionality, and useful computer applications to the Topeka community. It is designed (but not limited to) to increase technology access to minority and low income households and promote connections for parents to support their children’s educational progress. If we are not offering the classes you wish to see, please email us (sarah@keys.org) or call us (785-233-8732) and we will work our best to schedule these classes. At this time, we do not have Saturday classes. All classes are located in Topeka, Kansas at this time at the Salvation Army (1320 SE 6th St), Puente De Fe Un Ministerio De La Iglesia Metodista Unida (801 NE Chester) and El Centro De Servicios Para Hispanos (Our Lady of Guadalupe at 134 NE Lake) The lab is funded to assist the parents of preschool and school age children learn the technology skills to support their children’s educational achievement. Others accepted on a space available basis. You must pre-register to guarantee a seat on our bus. Walk-ins are welcome if you are on time and space is available. Please call us to register for our classes! All classes are FREE to the public! |
